about

Over the years, the 'tick tock' percussion got on my nerves, for being too loud. I decided to remix it, and had to re-record the bass part, because the original 4 track cassette does not contain the bass track. Back in 1986, I ran the 4 tracks through a Soundcraft board, to a high quality Otari reel-reel, and played bass live along with it. So the original bass track ONLY exists on that reel-reel. That particular reel-reel deck is the one seen at the beginning of the video for Chuck Berry in Space. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zurL4KDq38

lyrics

Why don't they send Chuck Berry out in Space?
Don't they know he's great?

Why don't they send John Lennon back to earth?
Don't they know he's great?

Why don't they make life happy after all?
Don't they know it (insert your word here)
